5 of the Best Fall Activities

Fall is an exciting time of year for many people. It’s full of fun activities and beautiful colors, plus the excitement of Halloween. It’s a great time to enjoy time with your family while doing things like shopping for arts and crafts or baking homemade apple pies. Below are five ideas for activities you can take part in this coming fall season to make it as fun as possible.

1. Apples Galore

Fall is the season of apples. You can go pick them yourself at a local orchard and take part in all of the fun the orchard provides such as hay rides and shopping for arts and crafts from local vendors. Cider mills often have apple flavored donuts to go with their delicious ciders, or you can take your apples home and bake apple goodies of your own.

2. Pumpkin Fun

A trip to the pumpkin patch to find the best pumpkin is always a fun way to spend some time with family. The excitement of finding just the right one for you and taking it home to carve it is so much fun. You can even have a pumpkin carving party with friends and family, and serve fun fall and Halloween themed snacks. After that you can bake your pumpkin seeds with all kinds of different flavors.

3. Costume Parties

Be a kid again and have fun playing dress up with a costume party. This is a great chance to serve some of that home made apple pie and baked pumpkin seeds from the activities above. You can make it into a costume contest and award the winner with their very own pie.

4. Craft Shows

Fall is a great time to catch some craft shows as well. You can search for some in your area and spend the day shopping for arts and crafts with friends. There’s usually some great local artists selling beautiful and unique items. You never know what you might find.

5. Haunted Houses

If you enjoy the spookier side of fall, then haunted houses are a great option for you. Take some friends with you and go get spooked by all of the fun but scary rooms and costumes. Some are a lot scarier than others so make sure to find one that suits you and won’t be too much.
